2024 Video Production Trends

Video production has come a long way since the Lumière brothers presented the very first motion picture in Paris in March 1895.

These days, we all have the power of a whole film studio at our fingertips. Massive advances in AI during the last twelve months have revolutionized the video production agency world.

Today, we’ll take a look at some of the major trends to keep an eye out for as we enter 2024.

Green Screen & 3D

As you can see from the above example, the level of production quality that is now possible for video production agencies in Bangkok has gone through the roof. The rapid development of technology now means that Hollywood-level productions are affordable at more reasonable budgets than ever before.

Aside from the movies, businesses can now be more creative than ever before and utilize green screen production studios in Thailand to make their own interview shows, TV commercials or even advanced powerpoint-style presentations.

This is the trend that I am most personally excited about as it’ll mean that Lexicon can continue to push the boundaries of expectations in 2024.

Retro Animation

The massive success of Sony’s Spiderverse movies is not only a triumph for storytelling, but also a triumph for an experimental form of retro animation.

For years, Pixar and Dreamworks have given us stock characters and predictable landscapes through their animated movies; yet Spiderverse did something truly revolutionary in creating a comic-book style comic book movie. A task that is much harder than it sounds.

This trend of experimental retro is also featuring heavily in games and you can expect it to evolve over the next twelve months.

Animation remains an exceptional way for businesses to tell stories with unlimited boundaries and we can help if you have a story to tell.

Hybrid Media

Leading on naturally from the previous two examples is hybrid media; which, as the name suggests, is a blending of two or more forms of media to create something new and original.

As you can see in the example above, the real world and illustrated world can blend seamlessly together, so why not make a video with your mascot discussing 2024 business plans? Or have your office take flight and relocate to The Moon. It’s all possible with the benefit of hybrid media and the support of a talented creative director.

Conclusions

While Generative AI is causing disruption to the marketing world, it’s also opening new doors for experts in their fields to innovate like never before. At Lexicon, we’re excited by what 2024 has in store to push digital storytelling into new and exciting avenues. And, as always, if you need some help telling your story, get in touch.
