Press release: Lexicon appoints new Creative Production Director

Lexicon, a leading Bangkok-based digital PR and marketing agency, has expanded its video, film and photography department with the addition of a new Creative Production Director.

Paul Driscoll joins Lexicon’s growing team and fits well with the agency’s commitment to hiring experienced, senior staff as it looks to expand its offering.

Of his recent hiring, Paul remarked: “I’m proud and humbled to be appointed to this senior role at Lexicon. I feel it marks a natural progression in my career. Lexicon already has a strong team in place, an impressive client portfolio and a great body of work. I look forward to the challenge of establishing and nurturing a strong production department, bringing a new style to Lexicon’s services.”

“On top of the expansion of the corporate video production Lexicon is already doing, we’re increasingly going to be moving into the creative commercial space with a solid focus on story-led content. I’m genuinely delighted to be given this opportunity and thank Lexicon for their faith in my skillset and experience.”

Paul has over eight years experience in filmmaking in the UK and the Middle East. He has led numerous film, video and photography projects that have been aired on national television, screened in cinemas and shown at major events.

He graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BA in International Journalism. After graduating, he worked as a journalist for various publications in the UK and for The National newspaper in Abu Dhabi. However, with an increasing passion for visual storytelling, he accepted a full-time Multimedia Producer role in January 2011.

He has won several awards for short films produced while at The National, and for the feature length documentary Nanny Culture that he wrote, directed, co-filmed and co-edited.

His main areas of interest lie in social issues and human-interest stories, a style of content that is aligned with Lexicon’s planned online magazine BKK Edition.

Paul commented: “I see a lot of potential for interesting human-interest stories in Bangkok and Thailand. As a filmmaker passionate about documentary storytelling, I’m really excited about some of the short films we’ve started planning and will be shooting soon. I feel like we’ll be offering something at Lexicon that isn’t currently out there at the moment.”

Lexicon Managing Director, David Norcross, said: “Paul has an exceptional portfolio and is an excellent visual storyteller. Lexicon is committed to developing the Digital PR space in Thailand and increasing the standard of storytelling content in the market. With those objectives in mind, Paul’s experience working as a journalist, while also producing corporate videos and documentaries, make him the perfect hire to support Lexicon’s expansion plans.”
